Drexel TPED vs COVID-19
When the coronavirus entered the United States, colleges across the country began sending their students home for remote learning. At the end of the Winter Term 2020, Drexel decided to move classes from face-to-face to remote. This created a dilemma for clubs, like us, since we could no longer have our regular meetings. Drexel TPED decided to approach this by holding meetings on Zoom at our regularly scheduled time on Thursdays at 6:30pm EST. Over the past 10 weeks, we still discussed topics that we intended to such as Hershey Park's 114th anniversary and characters in theme parks; as well as including new interactive meetings such as theme park Pictionary, using the whiteboard feature on Zoom, and trivia. Additionally, we held elections for our One-Year Elected Officer positions and finally started up our Swag Store. Although this was not the ideal way we intended for this term to go, we managed to complete all of our goals and continued to conduct interactive meetings.
