Light Interactive Technology (LITe)
The Light Interactive Technology (LITe) was developed in SolidWorks and is modeled after current designs found around the world. We, however, are developing the LITe to have interactive elements. For example, the current design utilizes ultrasonic sensors within the balls that react to the users motions underneath the assembly.
Prototypes were created and tested using arduino controllers. It was determined that the assembly process was too complicated, so the project team now needs to develop new methods of construction/fabrication.
This project is currently on hold, but it is an idea that we would like to return to in the future, as we would like to turn this idea into reality.
